Pete arrived on-time, was courteous and professional. I actually don’t know what AC maintenance alone costs, but because I had service performed by them before on my furnace, the AC maintenance was included.

My 24 year old AC system was showing it's age, needing yearly maintenance with refrigerant refills and high power usage. Although my gas furnaces were working fine and I really don't use the AC or heating more than about 3 months each throughout the year, I have noticed the trend of using more AC with climate change and warmer temps. I contacted over 7 HVAC companies that had 4.5 star or better ratings on Yelp. Five of those contacted me for a visit for a free estimate. This was only the start of the process. Over two weeks, I had reps visit and give me their recommendations. Initially, I inquired about a simple AC system replacement, but most companies would not consider installing a new AC system with an older furnace. It certainly could be done, but then there were warranty and reliability issues to consider. I decided to go ahead and have both the AC and furnaces replaced (2 full systems, 1 for the first floor, 1 for the 2nd floor). The next consideration were the possible options of a heat pump, multiple speed, etc. As it's never clear what the incremental price of these upgrades would be, I wanted to find out. This meant that I would ask all five of the vendors who provided initial quotes for more quotes and recommendations for these options. When it came down to the nitty gritty, only two companies seemed to want to spend the time to continue the dialog and provide additional price quotes. Toby from AIS was very patient and spent the time to explain every aspect of his quotes and if he did not know the answer to any of my numerous questions, he would get the answers from his team at AIS. I choose AIS because of Toby's honesty and integrity. He even modified the wording on the contract to add some technical terms and work that I felt were missing and he did this before I made my decision. The AIS contract and terms were by far the most complete and comprehensive of all the proposals that I evaluated and I felt very comfortable with the whole situation. I decided on a mid level Bryant system with a high efficiency rating and the price was among the lowest of the proposals that I received. I signed the contract and paid my deposit. Work was schedule just a few weeks later. Garrett and Dylan were my main technicians to do the job in early July. Although they scheduled 2 days for the job, they were hopeful that the entire job could be completed in one. During the day, up to three more technicians stopped by to deliver parts or help in some phases of the job. Toby also stopped by to drop off some equipment and check on the job. I am a DIY person who does a lot of my own work on my house, electrical, plumbing, minor construction, etc. I have very high standards for workmanship and professionalism as my previous career also involved monitoring commercial installation contracts for telecommunications. These guys were excellent. Their workmanship shows in the photos. At the end of the day, they did a very nice cleanup of all work areas and we did a complete walk through and test of the system. About two weeks after the installation, AIS had scheduled a quality inspection walk through. Javier was the QA person who met with Garrett and together, we walked through the entire installation. Javier had Garrett do some very small corrections in taping some of the old flue piping just to insure maximum sealing, even through this was technically part of the old installation. Although the weather has not been super hot, I have been exercising the AC system on a daily basis and everything is working great. The AC is about 1/3 more energy efficient that the old system (when it worked). I am very happy with the entire process and the finished product. I have been doing lots of home improvement/maintenance projects in the past two years and I can honestly say that this is about as good as it gets when dealing with a specialty contractor. I highly recommend this company!

My AC was not cooling - it would start but immediately stop. I have a maintenance contract with Service Champions and they said that it’ll be around $2100 but they won’t be able to guarantee how long my unit will last as it is more than 15 years old so they suggested replacement. I thought they are probably right as the unit is old but based on the diagnostic they gave me, I (with help of ChatGPT) decided to get a 2nd opinion. AIS had excellent reviews so made an appointment. Pete Bell came for the diagnostic and he was little puzzled as he didn’t something wrong the AC. He found that breaker was tripping and told me that’s the only thing needed. I just had the diagnostic done today and convinced that my issue will be fixed when the part arrives. So I can’t praise Pete enough as he spent a lot of time and likely saved $20k as I wasn’t going to spend $2100 when there was no guarantee.

Art was incredibly knowledgeable of my current HVAC situation and was very patient explaining all of the pros and cons of the various options. Very much appreciated the time he spent educating me and answering my many questions.

He thoroughly inspected and serviced our A/C system, explained everything clearly, and made sure the unit was running efficiently before leaving. What really stood out was the attention to detail and honesty throughout the process. The maintenance was done carefully, and the cooling performance improved noticeably afterward. It’s hard to find someone who is both skilled and trustworthy, but this company truly exceeded expectations.
