Art was excellent at surveying the home requirements, presenting the various HVAC choices, and explaining the most energy efficient models.
Art came out for a quote to swap ac and furnace for a heat pump. He was great and very informative we look forward to possibly working with them in the near future. Definitely recommend them if your shopping around. Update 08/20/2025 AIS installed our heat pump last year and just came out for the complimentary one year service and it was beyond our expectations. Pete was our technician and his kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail was amazing. We signed up for yearly maintenance just based on our interaction and service provided by Pete. This is truly a great local company and if you need HVAC work don’t look any further than AIS.

Zach I needed some overdue maintenance done on my mini split system, and Zach was the perfect one for the job. The entire experience was extremely positive all the way through. Zach communicated clearly the task and cost involved. He was super respectful of everyone's time. Definitely will use them again in a heartbeat for all my cooling/heating needs!
I would give AIS 10 stars if possible. Pete was on time and fixed our problem for a very reasonable rate, one night before guests arrived to stay with us for a week. AIS saved the day!
Got out really fast, showed up on time, with text notices of status. Had the expertise and parts to fix the problem
So far, so good. Our A/C gave out on us and the technician who came to look at it was on-time, polite, easy to talk to, helpful, knowledgeable -- and, most importantly, quickly diagnosed our primary problem (start capacitor). He then tested the system and showed that our (25+ year old) compressor is "struggling" and will be failing someday. I'm no HVAC expert but I do have the engineering degrees to recognize FMEA when I hear it and I largely concurred with his more knowledgeable assessment. Based on the technician's visit, we will be including AIS in the companies that we consider to do the A/C system replacement (already scheduled the sales consult appointment). And, if we do go with AIS to do the replacement, as a very active reviewer on Google, I will be sure to post an update.
Olim was great! He arrived in the earlier part of my scheduled service window, and found/repaired my problem in <5 minutes. Now we are ready to keep cool the next time it gets hot here in Fremont, CA - thanks to Olim!

Call AIS early morning for air conditioning down: got an appointment in the afternoon, plenty of notifications by text, arrived a bit late but apologized, started on the job wearing booties on shoes when entering our home, fixed the problem by replacing a capacitor and we were back in line in no time! Suggested an upgrade on A/C startup but not pushing at all. Great job, very professional, thank you!

Kevin Estigoy was the service technician. He was very friendly, professional, on time, and performed his tasks quickly and efficiently. He recommended a system upgrade and quickly installed the necessary parts. He (and all the technicians we have met in the team) was wonderful and a great representation to the company.
Representative was helpful and explained what regular service entailed, and what to look for if the problem happened again.
Gabe arrived as scheduled and explained what he would be doing. He came back with a thorough report of his finding and offered recommendations for the AC unit and compressor. He performed a check of the air flow indoors. He was very friendly and efficient!

Miller's ended up ghosting me after failing to answer several basic questions about the system I was interested in (like price, comparing two different systems, etc.). I went with AIS in Fremont and they did an amazing job at removing and replacing our 1965 era ductwork and 1980s era AC and gas furnace with a modern heat pump and gas furnace. I highly recommend them.
Extremely professional and polite employees, including the office staff and the technicians. Also, the technicians clearly explain what they have done, and if anything else needs attention. It’s very easy to get an appointment with them as well.
They gave me a great price, put in equipment that is rated highly, especially my new pure air unit from Lennox that keeps my house super clean. Everything else is Bryant but the air scrubber is not. Highly recommend the company and their products. I also utilize their maintenance program so every yr they check everything out and make sure I am running perfectly. They also change my filters when needed.
The whole house breaker pops? Not just the one feeding the AC? That's not good. I'd say your first call should be to an AC company like AIS in Fremont (they just redid the heating and cooling in my house and are excellent and very fairly priced). They'll be able to check to see that the AC is running as expected (or not, as the case may be). Hopefully they'd be able to identify and repair the fault. If not, an electrician would be a good second call. I've heard good things about Voltz in Livermore but haven't had any person experience.
AIS is an excellent resource for heating and air conditioning. I've used them many times and will do so again.
We just had our entire system done by AIS in Fremont. They came recommended by a neighbor. I am very fussy about anything construction and the unit is amazing. They carry both Bryant and Lennox. We chose the Bryant because of the latest reviews. While we just retired a 25 yr old Lennox.we chose Bryant given current reviews and the added bonus was the Dollar difference.. The estimator is a neighbor also and lives in the SHPNA area. Ray did a great job and for what we got the price was right. We even went for the extra fancy hospital grade air purifier. It has 4" regular filter, plus 4 more of carbon fiber and a UV light system. Never had that kind of filtration although for the average house their 4" (rather than a little one inch filter) is adequeate. After this yrs allergies and as we age we decided to go heavy duty. Several people will come out (all for free) but I would stick with Ray. We went also with a two stage heater and ac which is more for the $ but overall saves you money in the end as if you only need a little heat or cooling the unit runs on the lower setting. We had several recommend companies out and the variance in price was as much as $5500 and that was without the fancy air. We have a two story and needed duct work so ours was higher than average anyway. During installation they sealed all the ducts etc with two stages of tape and a special compound that becomes harder than when initially used but assures a constant seal. Old person never did that.
