Just had a follow up with NE Steam. New boiler required venting a line on the old system, not a simple task on our old two pipe system. Ranny fixed a leak and installed a new vent with minimal disruption. The new vent seem s to be working well. Will have NE Steam come back in the warmer season to check out my steam traps to make sure they are functioning properly. If you have steam heat, you need contractors who love steam and are not trying to convert you to forced hot water or forced hot air. New England Steam Works is keeping these older systems efficient and updated for this century. Patrick listened to my questions and came up with solutions for my 80 year plus old stem system. Considering the cost of home improvements these days, the prices are very reasonable.
I have been in a house with a steam boiler for 17 years. I’ve found a number of talented plumbers who have attempted to service my heating system, but they didn’t hold a candle to New England Steamworks. This company really understood my system unlike any other service person I have used in the past. The technicians were professional and patient. They solved all the problems I was reporting and my system is running with higher quietly and more efficiently than it ever has. Additionally, they were so patient with a homeowner who had a metric ton of questions. I do technical customer service for a living and I can tell you from personal experience, that one of the worst things is someone looking over your shoulder while you are working. I was that guy today. This being the first chance I’ve had in 17 years to get questions answered I couldn’t help myself. They were professional and informative, exactly what I was (perhaps rudely over their shoulders) asking of them. Overall I would more than highly recommend this company to anyone who wants or has a steam heating system. I’ve been all the way around this block and these people know these systems better than anyone I have ever come across.

Ranney, the technician from New England SteamWorks came right out to my home when I called about no heat. He quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed my steam boiler . It was minor, a loose wire. But the quick response on a cold day was much appreciated. I’m happy that I chose New England SteamWorks to install & service my steam boiler. Highly recommended !
They showed up on time and spent 2 full days installing my new boiler. They explained everything I needed to do when caring for a new boiler.

We had an annual steam maintenance service. In the past we were using our oil company in years past but found they were being too quick. We've been using NESW for the past few year and we were very impressed on the thoroughness of their job and how he explained what they were doing and how everything was done. Ranny and Mike were so great - methodical and dedicated, we would like to see them return for this job if possible. Should they be in the area for another job, we offer them our pool after work to relax because they are extremely personable and knowledgeable hard workers. We felt like we have known them for years. Patrick & Rick provided service today, they faced a difficult challenge, and the first set of changes they made in our steam system did not eliminate the water hammer problems we were having. But they kept at it, analyzing the situation, experimenting with a combination of fixes, and eventually managed to solve the problem. We've now been through several complete heating cycles since they finished, and it's amazing how quiet the system is. The water hammer noises had been so loud that we had not been able to sleep in our bedroom for several months, and I won't be fully confident that they aren't going to return until we've had a complete 24 hours of operation. But my wife and I are moving back into our bedroom tonight, and we're (holding our breath, fingers crossed) absolutely delighted. THANK YOU. Patrick & Rick explained everything, answered my many questions, very polite, very professional. They were great.

They refurbished every radiator in our home with a beautiful, high-gloss finish, and the results were stunning. We recently had our massive first floor radiators stripped, repainted and reinstalled in our 160 year old Victorian. Patricks team from New England SteamWorks brought them from the shop and expertly maneuvered them into place. Some of these radiators weighed up to 600lbs! I would definitely hire New England SteamWorks again. The whole experience was polite, professional and worth every penny.

Technicians are prompt, professional,polite,friendly,knowledgeable and work hard during the visit. They also clean up before leaving and respectfully answer questions, even the ones that are asked in ignorance. They may not the least expensive, but they definitely professional and through.
Just had our boiler serviced by New England SteamWorks. Its the 2nd service they have done for us and we also had our steam pipes wrapped / insulated by them. We have been incredibly impressed with the professionalism of the technician teams and would highly recommend New England SteamWorks!
