I have been in a house with a steam boiler for 17 years. I’ve found a number of talented plumbers who have attempted to service my heating system, but they didn’t hold a candle to New England Steamworks. This company really understood my system unlike any other service person I have used in the past. The technicians were professional and patient. They solved all the problems I was reporting and my system is running with higher quietly and more efficiently than it ever has. Additionally, they were so patient with a homeowner who had a metric ton of questions. I do technical customer service for a living and I can tell you from personal experience, that one of the worst things is someone looking over your shoulder while you are working. I was that guy today. This being the first chance I’ve had in 17 years to get questions answered I couldn’t help myself. They were professional and informative, exactly what I was (perhaps rudely over their shoulders) asking of them. Overall I would more than highly recommend this company to anyone who wants or has a steam heating system. I’ve been all the way around this block and these people know these systems better than anyone I have ever come across.
I had the pleasure of meeting Ranny and Joe from New England Steamworks. They arrived on time and were the type of men that were professional, polite and ready to share an abundance of information with the home owner. They did a great job and walked me through all the aspects of the boiler. These guys take a great deal of pride in their work and cleaned up thoroughly when the job was done. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend NES to anyone looking to replace or repair their steam boilers. I also need to thank Nick for spending time with me and tweaking my boiler to run better. Nick was also a wealth of information about balancing the radiators and the type of air vents to use. The New England SteamWorks technician was extremely knowledgeable about how our old heating system works, and how to optimize it. He performed system maintenance and gave us a comprehensive report on system efficiency and safety. On a second visit the technician replaced the main system vents to improve efficiency, and then checked every radiator in the house.
I am really impressed with how polite and professional the technicians were. The new radiator looks and works great. The whole process from ordering the radiator, booking the appointment to installation was seamless. Would definitely recommend NE Steamworks.
I have been using NESW for years at my Condo building in Brookline, MA and have referred him to many of my friends and neighbors who also use him now. He is one of the few contractors that is still knowledgeable of our own steam heating systems. He can make them run to be efficient and provide a much more comfortable heating experience then forced hot air or electric. Don't give up on steam with proper venting it provides and efficient and balanced heating plant.
Randy can and soon found out steam heat issue. Within a short time he had it fixed. He knows steam heat even our unusual set up. Will call SteamWorks again when needed.
