Jake I got a few quotes from companies for installing what was effectively new service as well as running new wires to our garage and installing a ground wire on that subpanel (original install had omitted that) and decided to go with Edison Electric. The garage wire did require a separate visit, because it was too cold during the first visit to re-run the wire (understandable: it was sub-zero in December), so we waited until spring for that update. Of the quotes I got, Edison Electric was the best price, and Jake Ternus and team were friendly, professional, and did a great job on each install. (And shout out to John, who coordinated visits and timing from the home office, and who was always helpful and friendly.) To set expectations, Edison Electric does charge a fixed fee (a little under $100, if I recall correctly) to stop out and give a quote. That fee is less than the cost of their time, so I found it very reasonable. Ultimately, we as customers do pay for quotes -- either through an upfront fee or through more expensive quotes. I think incentives get better aligned when companies take the upfront fee approach -- they only get serious customers, customers don't get an excessive number of quotes (which wastes pros' time), and the businesses incur less volatility (which helps a business operate effectively). Overall, I was very happy with Edison Electric and Jake + team, and now have them as my default for this type of work.
Jake Ben was fantastic and thorough, but also didn’t push us to get stuff we weren’t ready for. Then, he helped us identify the items that absolutely needed to be fixed. He is great to work with as was his apprentice!
Ben Brandon was very courteous and professional. He took the time to listen to all of our issues, and explained what could be causing them. He then gave us a range of options, and explained the work included and expectations in each.
Brandon Sam and Allan showed up at the time they said they would. Very neat and clean and wore shoe covers into the house. They explained how they would inspect the problem and how they would charge for the work. They then went into inspecting the problem, checked out the switch, the outlet and the breaker panel. After inspecting the GFCI outlet, they found I had it wired wrong. They corrected the wiring and everything then worked. Very professional in how they went about their job. The best part is that they only charged for the $79 service call! Amazing. Will hire Edison Electric again for any future electrical needs.

Sam We just had the house rewired and all our old knob and tube removed, and I was really pleased with the work Sam and Nick did. They were thoughtful, had good suggestions on how to approach the project, did a nice job, and cleaned up thoroughly. I am happy with the care and effort they took to avoid putting holes in the walls and to make the new lighting we added make sense. I would definitely call them again for future electrical work.

Ryan Edison electric has completed several jobs of various sizes for us over the last few years. They are wonderful. Reliable, knowledgeable, neat and thorough. Joe They did a great job! On time, helped me understand the work, talked through options and was fair priced. Very last minute request and they did great and got it done in one day. Highly recommend! Did lots of different things - panel work, new outlets installed, fixed outlets, updated wiring, fixed conduit and replaced a light.
