They did a fast great accurate job at diagnosing. The problem finding what's wrong and giving me solutions on how to address it . I would 100% recommend, especially if you've already called several places like I did and weren't even given the time of day And the technician they sent out was friendly. Good people, very knowledgeable on electricity and they care enough to check your house for other problems they see that you didn't call them about when they finish the job they were hired to do at your residence. We put up our Xmas tree and 1/2 of the tree did not light! It was Friday afternoon. I called and said HELP I need to decorate my tree this weekend. He came at 5:30 that day. I had a lit tree in an hour and a decorated tree on Saturday evening. Can't get better service than that folks!
Two days before Thanksgiving I realized I had no lights in my basement and needed to get the problem fixed pronto. I called Doctor Electric based on the reviews in Angie's List and they promptly dispatched a technician, who was able to quickly diagnose and fix the problem. As part of their standard new customer protocol, the technician also performed a safety inspection of my home and discovered that water had been infiltrating my main electrical panel, resulting in corrosion on the main breaker and rust on a number of other breakers. He pointed out that this could be a safety hazard and recommended that this be addressed. At that point I was more concerned about my Thanksgiving preparations, but after the holiday was over I did my own research and subsequently spoke with Matt, the owner of Doctor Electric, who answered all of my questions and suggested several alternative approaches to addressing the problem. Because the placement of the existing outdoor wiring was no longer up to code, and because my house has some interesting structural challenges, Matt and the technician (Tom) spent a lot of time coming up with a solution which would meet code and not detract from the look of my house. When the work was ultimately performed, it was an all-day job but it went very smoothly. The technicians arrived when they said they would, were polite, pleasant and informative, and worked hard all day to get the job done - and power back on - by the time it got dark. They came back several days later and labeled all of the breakers. I was very pleased with all of my interactions with the owner and the technicians. I would definitely recommend Doctor Electric to anyone needing an electrician and will use them again myself for any future electrical needs
