We are pleased and impressed with the electricians that came to update and untangle the wiring in our newly purchased 1954 home. Joe Russo came to walk through our home and provide estimates for the work that we wanted done. We had a crew of electricians come for 3+ days. This included return trips for quirky circuitry which is now fully remedied. We love having ceiling lights in 2 bedrooms and updated, grounded outlets. Our basement was particularly dark, with lighting that was barely functioning. The workshop area is now brightly lit with LED overhead strips and separate outlets at the work bench. My husband is thrilled to have such a pleasant place to putter in. We also chose to purchase their Electrical Safety & Savings Membership Plan which will keep us well served for the next 12 months.

Could not be happier with Doctor Electrics team and service today. I am responsible for over 100 luxury homes all over western NY and have the need to deal with different electricians on a regular basis. Right from my initial call with Dan in the office to the service work with Joe on site, I have never had such a thorough and professional experience in a long time. Han got Joe to arrive on site on the same day. Joe did total inspection of the electrical components of the home and resolved my current issue in about an hour. He then went above and beyond by checking the standby generator and made suggestions for future scheduled services to ensure system was operating properly. Then I got a very reasonable invoice with very clear description of services performed along with pictures. Wow. Wish all of my dozens of venders and contractors were this organized and through. I have used Dr. Electric and Upstate Air for over 10 years. Electricians, Joe and Dan, were very knowledgeable and helpful. Recently, I had problems with my wiring throughout many outlets and switches discovered during a renovation. They came out quickly and worked efficiently and as a team to diagnose and fix the faulty wiring. They worked tirelessly for hours and now I feel safe again in my home. Dr. Electric are my go to guys !

As is the standard they have set, Dr. Electric / Upstate Air are professional and provide prompt service. The owner himself came to our appointment for an emergency leak out of our air conditioner. He stayed two plus hours until he found the issue and resolved it!
From Upstate Air: Matt was very friendly, very professional and very knowledgeable. He answered all my questions, even those re a future heating concern. He followed up with me the next day and I am confident in whatever his recommendations might be for us to consider. This survey came from Mr Electric and not Upstate Air. Since Matt was included on the site, I decided to go ahead and use it but FYI...It is confusing. If Matt hadn't deserved such a rave review, I probably would have skipped it. Also a previous review from Mr Electric for Dan is still on this page so I hope these reviews are acknowledged. From Mr Electric: Dan was punctual, very friendly and knowledgeable. He made a recommendation for a surge protector for which we are awaiting an estimate.

Good people, very knowledgeable on electricity and they care enough to check your house for other problems they see that you didn't call them about when they finish the job they were hired to do at your residence. We put up our Xmas tree and 1/2 of the tree did not light! It was Friday afternoon. I called and said HELP I need to decorate my tree this weekend. He came at 5:30 that day. I had a lit tree in an hour and a decorated tree on Saturday evening. Can't get better service than that folks!
Two days before Thanksgiving I realized I had no lights in my basement and needed to get the problem fixed pronto. I called Doctor Electric based on the reviews in Angie's List and they promptly dispatched a technician, who was able to quickly diagnose and fix the problem. As part of their standard new customer protocol, the technician also performed a safety inspection of my home and discovered that water had been infiltrating my main electrical panel, resulting in corrosion on the main breaker and rust on a number of other breakers. He pointed out that this could be a safety hazard and recommended that this be addressed. At that point I was more concerned about my Thanksgiving preparations, but after the holiday was over I did my own research and subsequently spoke with Matt, the owner of Doctor Electric, who answered all of my questions and suggested several alternative approaches to addressing the problem. Because the placement of the existing outdoor wiring was no longer up to code, and because my house has some interesting structural challenges, Matt and the technician (Tom) spent a lot of time coming up with a solution which would meet code and not detract from the look of my house. When the work was ultimately performed, it was an all-day job but it went very smoothly. The technicians arrived when they said they would, were polite, pleasant and informative, and worked hard all day to get the job done - and power back on - by the time it got dark. They came back several days later and labeled all of the breakers. I was very pleased with all of my interactions with the owner and the technicians. I would definitely recommend Doctor Electric to anyone needing an electrician and will use them again myself for any future electrical needs
