My father went into Alden after a stroke and the family really thought the staff and service was amazing. The facility is very clean and comfortable. Definitely would advocate anyone contemplating on a rehabilitation situation to consider Alden. 5 stars

I had a most excellent and beneficial stay at Alden Estates of Evanston! After a hip surgery that required a lengthy recovery and rehab AND a second surgery plus recovery with more rehab, AE Evanston was the perfect place for me to become well again. From the exceptional nursing care and superb PT & OT therapists, to the uniformly kind staff in ALL departments of the facility, I felt not only "cared for", but very much "cared about". These days of nursing & care personnel shortages must be extremely difficult for all skilled-nursing facilities. There is no perfect situation. But AE Evanston's management and staff have come pretty close, in my estimation. And, it has to do with a 'Culture of Caring' evident throughout the facility. My deepest gratitude to everyone at AE Evanston who helped me along the way. I recommend it highly.
My 96 year old Grandma, Despina is currently at Alden Evanston and it has been a miracle she gets to go back home on Saturday. The staff are all so pleasant, remembering myself and my family when we visit. My Grandma is very picky, but loves the food there and got used to the food quickly. My grandma has never played bingo in her life, the staff were able to convince her to come try, taught her how to play, and she won! This is now a story she tells everyone and how proud she was and loves bingo now. She especially loves her therapy staff and wants to take them all home with her. Thank you Alden Evanston for taking great care of my Grandma during this hard time for her!

Overall my mom was treated very well and felt the therapists and nurses were great. It was odd that she was complaining of pain and was only getting 2 regular strength Tylenol at 9 and 5. Not sure how that decision was made to under medicate.
The staff at every level have a challenging job. They were very kind to all the residents. I enjoyed meeting the variety of residents and learned from the variety of people who worked hard to improve their functioning.
Physical therapy was excellent (thank you Peter). Nice facility, kind staff, especially during these difficult times.
Staff was very nice and attentive especially Elaine and Donie. My sister really liked her physical therapist and was very comfortable during her stay.
When you add Alden that's the place to be when you're feeling sick they make you feel happy they make you laugh they spend time with you make you feel like you ride at home I will recommend all the across-the-board I love it I wouldn't go no other place about there
my son was in the hospital and he lost his strength. they did wonderful physical therapy and occupational therapy. The OT was very nice to him and cared about his needs. He still have some work to do, now at home. But they got him in the right direction. thank you

The entire staff at Alden were amazing. They treated my mom with respect and gave her top notch care. From the nurses to the therapist and the front desk everyone was amazing. As family you were updated and never in the dark about next steps.
You provided fantastic care of my mom, Charlotte Stewart. One thing that I have thought of since she's been home. She uses a computer a lot and I would suggest (somehow) adding that to the OT care. I (daughter Julie) am finding that I'm having to teach her over again. She had her computer in her room, and I told her to send emails. Reinforcement of that would have been awesome. I recognize that everyone's technology is different, but it is definitely something that seniors are doing (which is awesome!)!!! Thanks again for everything! The staff did an outstanding job. Always friendly, caring for the residents with respect and kindness. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Housekeeping kept everything in tip top shape. The food was like eating in a restaurant. Very tasty and presented more like in a hotel than a rehab facility.
I am very happy with the care my mother received at Alden North Shore!!! Thank you so very much for the efficient communication and quality care. I highly recommend this facility!!!!
